This was a flying visit to Ypres (leper) as the NMBS travelled back to the Ferry port at Dover from The Waterloo/Ardennes tour. We stayed for the Last Post - an event that is carried out every night by the Belgium Fire Service and has been since the end of the First World War (bar the Nazi occupation). The event is held at the Menin Gate.
